Sell out! Remaining stock of Jordan units.
This is a one time stock of Jordan JX125NG. Due to an earlier problem with the glue on the rim in a batch, we had to pull the entire batch back.
We then decided to modify the batch with the new rim from the E130 and a new strong glue. The result is a more linear driver that can also take more "abuse".
Due to the complicated process of heating, removing glue and parts and putting them back together again, avoiding cosmetic issues is next to impossible. Since this is subjective, we decided that all units have cosmetic defects, even if they don't, but divided them into two groups; A and B, where A has no or minor defects and B has a little more obvious cosmetic defects.
In both cases, A or B, no defects should affect the performance at all. All units have been tested for buzz or scratching and bad units have been sorted out.
A grille can be used as shown in the pictures here, to protect the driver and at the same time hide possible cosmetic issues.
One picture shows how a (half) line array may look with these driver.
They come with a one year guarantee as usual.
Defects can be excessive glue, gap under the cap or (rarely) a minor scratch/dent in the cone.
This is a golden opportunity for those who have dreamed of a tall linear array with a high quality sound. Connect 8 units in parallel (coils on each in series) and get 32/8= 4 ohm.
Combine it with an array of E60 for a true high end system. We hope to have some suggestions to present here soon. If you are interested in the tall array (8 units), or the 2x125 and E100 combo active speaker with Hypex plate amps (Yellow/white speaker shown here), please ask us for more info. Plans will be presented here soon, but you can design your own cabinet too, using a 33L internal volume and a vent 69 m.m. in diameter and aproximately 22 cm long with bevels on both sides, per driver. This will take you to around 33Hz and with two units in parallell (2x16x2= 4ohm) on each side, you get a massive bass. The E100 has a 6L closed cavity and this allows you to cross over 1st order at 200Hz. Size and shape is not that important as long as you keep the internal volume. Vents are on the back as well as the plate amp.
The line array is designed the same way, with separate cavities for each driver. With 4 or 8 units, the drivers barely move and stay very linear with reduced distortion etc, but give you a tremendous bass. The top is made out of 4 E60 units (see separate design suggestion). For more details, please contact us. We can offer package deals with Hypex plate amps too. If you go for an array, we recomend buying a few extra spares, in case you have an accident and we run out of drivers, however, E130 HD MKII also works in this configuration.
The price has been heavily reduced.
